Cutting Edge Skills

So, I was sitting there with the children, and I was cutting apart some sheets of photographs.  Dolittle remarked that she was quite impressed at how well I was cutting perfectly straight lines.  To which Rainbow responded…

“That’s because she’s soooo old.  She’s had years and years and years of practice at this.”

Lest any compliment be going to my aged little head.

The 20-something cashier at the grocery store saw the picture of my kids and asked, “Are those your grandchildren?” a question which I’ve been expecting awhile, so it didn’t really faze me. So I said, “No, they’re mine.” And she looked at me for a long moment, and then said, “Really?” And so it begins.

Last night at the school board meeting, the 403(b) rep referred to “older employees–those 45 and older.” Lovely.
