Rainbow informed me this morning that my hair has white highlights. Highlights. White ones.

I tried parting my hair in a different place. It was worse.

It’s time to get serious about some hair care, my friends. Very serious.

Interestingly, I tend to make dramatic hair changes in conjunction with major life changes. Not purposely, of course… but I have noticed that trend for me has been that drastic changes in one are in unison with drastic changes in the other for some reason. Anyone else notice that? Or is it just me?

Hahaha. White highlights! I have them, too. They’re particularly noticeable on black hair. Can you treat yourself to a little professional haircare?

I have white highlights too. And silver ones. With a few gray thrown in for good measure. Ack!

Yes, I’ve notice that drastic changes generally come in pairs. Weird.

This must be national hair care week or something!

I started getting white highlights in my 20’s. If I didn’t color my hair every 6 weeks, it would be totally white.

I’ve noticed in recent years that those little hairs that I’ve always plucked from my chin are getting harder to pluck because my eyesight has gotten bad in my old age, and those little chin hairs have gotten “blonde”.

I was obsessed with my hair color for a while. I was spending so much money to make it look pretty only to discover that I actually prefer my own hair color! So I went to my hair guy and asked him to change it back to my original color and I’m so much happier — even though I have a few gray strands now.

But yes, to answer your question, I was changing my hair color along with major life events.
